"What implementation support will be provided once the curriculum is deployed? What is your recommended professional development approach?" - 10 min
Our Notes
We seek to design so you need minimal follow-up support … however …
Support is up to the district … we included 10 on-site coaching days (which could be remote) to see the curriculum in action and weigh in with teachers, focusing in on a train-the trainer model by working with those who would be positioned to take on that role (We can provide more days on-site, particularly in the first year.)
Relatedly, we will send a “tip” sheet after the visit
All nuances and anticipated implementation issues will be in the teacher’s guide along with links to videos
We can provide a Client Support Site with Q&A possibilities, additional implementation resources, and access to consultants between coaching visits (price?)
To transform instruction, we typically provide teachers with 8 days of summer training and are on-site to see each teacher once a month – using the formula that we can see 8 teachers in a day. So with 24 teachers, that would mean 3 days a month on site. We work closely with leadership and with “lead teachers” who could carry on with the work. We focus on building local capacity.
